Sending a resume when applying for a job or an internship has become a staple in the IT industry. Education and experience:

Relevant education which can be formal, such as a college degree, and informal, such as courses and workshops, gives the recruiter a sense of what knowledge a candidate has on a theoretical level. Experience section is where a recruiter can have a look into what practical projects a candidate has done in the past. Skills and personal attributes:

Personal traits should not be overlooked. Based on personal attributes, recruiters make assumptions on how well you would fit the company, its culture and ethics in the workplace.
